1. Calming Yogic Breath – release from stress
Sit in a relaxed position, close your eyes and inhale deeply through your nose for 4 counts. Hold the breath in for 4 counts. Then exhale 4 counts through your nose. Repeat 10 cycles to begin with and then increase up to 30 cycles per day.
2. Deep diaphragmatic breathing
Lie down on your back, relax, get comfortable and breathe deeply into your belly for 5 minutes. As you expand your capacity, place a weight on your belly to increase the challenge.
